Comprehensive Outreach and Enrollment Strategy

Increase Access to affordable Health Care for all Vermonters

The State and other stakeholders have embarked on a comprehensive education, outreach and enrollment campaign to inform Vermonters about insurance products and premium assistance programs that were available as of October 1, 2007.

An advisory group, the Outreach & Enrollment Steering Committee was formed to guide these efforts. The Outreach and Enrollment Report produced by the Bi-State Primary Care Association provided the basis for many of the outreach and enrollment strategies that will be implemented.

An overview of proposed outreach and enrollment strategies was provided to the House Committee on Health Care in January, and an RFP for a health care marketing firm was issued on February 2, 2007.

On April 10, 2007 the Office of Vermont Health Access (OVHA) announced that GMMB has been selected as the vendor to lead Vermont’s health care reform outreach and enrollment activities. More information on GMMB

In November, 2007 the state launched a major marketing campaign to promote GreenMountainCare, the umbrella name for the family of low-cost and free coverage programs for Vermonters. Go to the Green Mountain Care Media Center to see the television ads and other marketing information.
