Am I eligible for the Catamount Health Assistance Program (CHAP)?
If you are eligible for a Catamount Health plan, the state may provide you with financial assistance to help pay the monthly premium for Catamount Health if:
Your household income is under 300% of the federal poverty level (FPL), and you meet one of the following conditions:
- You do not have access through your employer to insurance that has comprehensive benefits as determined by the state, OR
- Your employer’s health insurance plan does have comprehensive benefits, and it costs the state less to offer you premium assistance for your enrollment in a Catamount Health plan than the cost of providing Employer-Sponsored Insurance (ESI) Premium Assistance to enroll in your employer's plan, OR
- You are waiting for the open enrollment period to enroll in your employer’s plan
